My Exit Strategy Week 13

1. I intend to sell my venture to someone eventually. Ideally I think that a big seed company would buy it. I believe that my program could be intellectual property

2. I’ve selected this method of an exit strategy because I’m not passionate enough about it to stay committed to it for 10 years. I would either have to sell it or find a partner who was more passionate about the actual day to day work. I am passionate about the cause but I know that I would want to explore other options in life and couldn’t commit to it for life.

3. I think that the class made me realize that I’m much more interested in art projects than more monetarily focused projects.

  1. Hey Emily,

I think it’s really interesting that you have a different idea, and I like how you referenced it as being intellectual property. I think that a lot of people are leaning towards the idea of selling their product or business, and in my opinion it usually makes the most sense. I think it’s really great that this class made you realize that you have a more artistic side than you thought. It’s always great to find things like that out about yourself.

Here’s a link to my post, too!

  2. Hello Emily,
I like your idea to sell your company since you are not really interested in the field that your company is in, but I think that you shouldn't sell your whole company. I think that you should keep a small amount of your company (maybe 10%) so that if your company does grow bigger you will benefit from other peoples work.
